Responsibilities

My title at Edgewater was Wellness Assistant. I was responsible for:assisting with the implementation of Senior Fitness Tests, creating marketing materials, planning one large event or program, teaching weekly classes, attending trips with residents and social events on campus, evaluating the fitness program, leading new member orientations for employees and members, helping design and implement wellness program or incentive program, learning the business impact of wellness programs in regards to recruitment, retention, and productivity, and gaining abroad understanding of the role of wellness within a organization to drive health and wellness.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my experience at Edgewater was creating my own wellness program for residents. They got to learn about various components of nutrition that are important for older adults while moving their body from place to place around campus.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students is to make the most out of the opportunities that are given to you and to step out of your comfort zone whenever possible.
