Responsibilities
Training Table Prep-cook precision in Iowa State University. Preparing food before serving time, cutting vegetables and fruits, making omelets or sandwiches for our breakfast stations in the morning, and grilling burgers or a chicken and pasta station for our dinner stations at night.
Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment is I'm able to learn how to cook with different equipment. And I can use all the different equipment to cook all kinds of different food.
Learning experience
The most important lesson I learned is teamwork because when I was alone at the omelet station and I had like 50 orders, everyone was hungry and didn't have that much time to eat so I had to do as fast as I could, but I still couldn't handle all the orders by myself, so I needed help from my coworkers, which is how teamwork begins.
What advice would you give?
The advice for future students is it's a very fun major. I learned so much about how to run a restaurant. This is something I want to do in the future, and I am very glad that I have the chance to learn all of it.
