Responsibilities

Constructing a hat for museum staff use, designing and constructing a dress ensemble based on 1876 fashion for display and education purposes. I was also responsible for conducting research on 1876 fashion and reporting findings to supervisor.

Accomplishments

Having the dress ensemble I made being used in the museum for future use. It will be used for hands-on projects with school groups and other educational purposes with museum guests.

What advice would you give?

You will get hot, there is no air-conditioning in the millinery. Also, be prepared to do more than just designing, relating to outdoor museum. You might just have to get your hands dirty pulling the weeds in the millinery rose garden.
