Responsibilities

I have helped Shelly Paige with day of wedding coordination, attending client meetings, creating marketing materials, assisting with Instagram and social media accounts and creating mood boards for all future clients to help them visualize their ideas.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment has been gaining the confidence in myself and skills I have to run a wedding solo. She let me be the lead coordinator for the day and it was a huge boost of confidence because I was on my own and I succeeded and even received compliments from the bride and groom.

Learning experience

The best lesson I've learned is to know when to stand up for yourself. As interns sometimes we believe our opinions do not matter and this is not the case. I am able to maturely speak my mind and give ideas to conversations that have been proven to be beneficial!

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students is to work hard and research for the internship you want! I reached out to the company I wanted to work with, interviewed, and received an internship created just for me! It continues to be an extremely rewarding experience and I am glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone!
