Responsibilities
I had many responsibilities during my time at Weissman, I first started out with the main project we did for the whole company which was creating new styles for one of three businesses at Weissman. Then after completing the Merchandising part of the project we work on different day to day tasks such as entering things into IMS, creating a competitive analysis presentation, and organizing the Merch teams space. We also did other fun projects that lead us to work cross functionally with the other departments like creating a fabric wall with sourcing, and getting to go to photoshoots with marketing.
Accomplishments
I think my greatest accomplishment during my experience was getting to present my projects to leadership and receive real feedback. All the work that I did was used for real projects and reports. I did real deep dive analysis projects and so much more that was helpful.
Learning experience
The greatest lesson I learned from this experience is that you have to be confident every step of the way no matter what. Also asking questions is the key to being confident no question is the wrong question it's better to ask than just do. Time management is also another lesson that I have learned. It is so important to be on top of everything you are doing to give the best quality work you can.
What advice would you give?
I think the advice I have for future students is that you need to take every opportunity that comes your way because the only way to know if something is a good fit is to give it a try. If you don't take that first step you'll never fully know if it was the right fit or not.
