Responsibilities

I am currently the Events and Marketing Intern for Original Cyns. I manage the social media sites for the company as well as marketing for various store promotions.The past few weeks I have been preparing and planning for our annual event, Cynapalooza. Some of my responsibilities in regard to this event included soliciting local business for various types of donations as well as organizing several activities and games that took place on the day of the event. Currently, I am in the midsts of planning an event for this coming weekend. The event is called Rosé All Day. Customers are given the opportunity to shop while drinking from a variety of wines provided.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment thus far would be seeing each event come to life and being a part of it. Cynapalooza was a huge task to take on with over 200 attendees. The event ran smoothly and I was able to for see any potential situations that arose and planned accordingly.

What advice would you give?

I would strongly recommend coming into a field such as event management with an open mind and complete creativity. This industry requires the ability to thoughtfully consider every possible outcome. Also, details and organization are key to putting on a successful event. Without this kind of planning and experience, having a successful event can be difficult.
