Responsibilities

I am working on a project at Iowa State where we perform qualitative research involving families who have had a history of substance use. We are using this data to come up with policies that could potentially help benefit these families and create a better system where we could either eliminate the need for these substances or at the very least make it a safer experience.

Accomplishments

Being able to open up to new people and learn about a life that I would never be able to experience myself. We are working to make changes in Iowa policies and I think that will be a great accomplishment when it happens.

What advice would you give?

Be open to people who experience life differently and learn from the experiences that they have had so you can continue to make a positive impact on the world.
