Responsibilities

Planning residential summer programming for Early Outreach Program, which serves up to 120 students of color, students from a low-income background, and/or 1st generation college students. Creating year-long college readiness lesson plans for CONNECT program, which serves up to 100 underrepresented middle school and high school students. Implemented 4 different college readiness workshops and assisted with 2 college visits to different higher education institutions. Designing student handouts, student expectations and summer training. Creating a communication system for mentors, which included weekly email updates. Developing an inventory system for all summer programming supplies.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from this experience would have to be building the connections and bonds with not only the students that I got to work with, but the team as well. Along with planning all the summer programming for their summer camps.
