Responsibilities

My responsibilities consist of: creating the e-newsletter, helping out with day of wedding coordinating, helping plan events and thinking of ways to get people out to the Iowa Arboretum.

Accomplishments

As I am half way through my internship, my greatest accomplishment is that my boss and I are planning an scavenger hunt to get children and their families out to the grounds with clues and prizes at the end!

Learning experience

The greatest lesson that I have learned so far from my internship is that there is a lot of waiting and planning for every detail until the a week or so out from the event.

What advice would you give?

Advice for future students would have to be make sure you find a place that fits your personality well and you feel comfortable in.
