Responsibilities

Creating and implementing the lesson plan activities for the summer programs. I created 35 lesson plans, in which they all included fine/gross motor, cognitive, craft, and sensory activities. I directed and lead all of the summer programs, the volunteer orientation training, and attended weekly/monthly events. I also created a new and improved tour booklet, for the company to use for new volunteers, families, etc.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from interning at GiGi's Playhouse would probably be being able to see all of your hard work in action. I created many lesson plans and came up with a bunch of activities for the participants to do, and I feel like being able to see them actually do an activity you came up with is really awesome.

What advice would you give?

Pick an internship that you really are passionate about. Do not just pick one to get it over with. You should enjoy going to your internship everyday, as you will get the most out of it with a positive and upbeat attitude.
