Responsibilities

Monitor and observe patients' vitals before, during and after exercises. Check patients in and out of the clinic while communicating with patients their workout plan for the day or any changes to their healthcare/medications. Monitor their safety, clean, and set up equipment.

Accomplishments

Working with a pulmonary patient one on one and having her tell me that her time at the clinic has really helped her and she get around easier.

Learning experience

Everyone has different stories and procedures done to be referred to cardiac rehab, so you need to be mindful of their different limitations and thresholds.

What advice would you give?

Go to class and you will not have a hard time in this major. But also make some time to have fun.
