As a wedding planning intern, I am in charge of both the set-up and tear down of tables, chairs, and linens. I make sure the entire venue is clean, stocked, and ready for the weddings on Fridays and Saturdays. Inventory and social media are also big responsibilities I work on weekly.
I was placed in charge of The Chateau's social media pages for the summer. Instagram has always been my favorite platform, so posting pictures for their page was something I really liked to do. On one of my early posts in the summer, my picture got the most likes on the page. I am also super proud of the increase in followers on their page.
What advice would you give?
I took this internship because I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my event management degree when I graduated. Weddings are fun, but I learned that I do not want to do them full-time in a year! Don't be afraid to try new things; you'll learn a lot about yourself!
