-shadow trainers -shadow class instructor -design promotional material for internship -health/fitness assessments -regular blog and/or social media posts -design weekly suggested program for general gym population -develop, promote, and conduct a pop-up fitness class -asses gym equipment and suggest additional pieces -asses placement of current gym equipment and suggest changes in arrangement -consult with Bridget schncider on pros, cons, challenges, or setting up a solo fitness studio -assist with planning and on-site coordination of NGA titan classic natural bodybuilding competition -general maintenance of the gym and the equipment -complete fitness certification -set up fitness business as a legal entity

Accomplishments

the greatest accomplishment for my experience at this internship was the machine selection and buying. I was given the budget that I was allowed to work with and told to find the right machine for the facility. I began by creating a questionnaire for the member and trainers to fill out so that they could give me their ideas. one question was about what machine they wanted, another was what machine they wanted to get rid of. after collecting all the member ideas for the new machine, I had to find one for a reasonable price. I contacted local places that sold gym equipment and try to make a deal. after some time, we came to an agreement that worked well for both parties. the new machine came in and it seemed that all the member like the new piece of equipment. this was the best experience because I was given a lot of freedom on this project, but I still had their support in it.

What advice would you give?

Don't wait to be given things to do. go out and find things to do. show them that you want to be there and that you have many great ideas.
