Responsibilities

Assist merchandise analyst with executing the overall category strategic plan by providing administrative and other support as directed. As well as attend vendor appoints and write purchase orders through assortment builder after the appointment. Lastly, developed a capstone project identifying white space for Nordstrom Rack in the men's classic best department through insight and outside sources as well as market research.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was being able to complete my capstone project and successfully present to leadership. As well as be able to learn the basics of the merch analyst role.

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I learned from my experience to know when to ask for help and be self advocating for my experience and time here at Nordstrom.

What advice would you give?

Just be your authentic self and apply to as many internships as you can and if you don't have experience make sure you show your eagerness and willingness to learn as this will get you far in your career.
