Responsibilities

During my internship my responsibilities included assisted in planning and facilitating Soccer For Success programs for schools and summer camps by preparing and delivering structured soccer lessons that integrated nutrition and STEM education. Teaching soccer fundamentals, technical skills, tactical awareness, and sportsmanship while supervising and encouraging youth participants. Completing AmeriCorps, Soccer For Success, and STEM in Soccer training, managed program equipment and inventory, collected and analyzed participant survey data, created program impact reports, communicated with participants, parents, and staff, and maintained accurate service records and documentation.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was creating unique lesson plans that incorporated educational elements about nutrition while still capturing the excitement of soccer!

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I learned during my experience was the power of persevering and trying again.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students in my major is to be patient with yourself and the process.
