Responsibilities

Throughout my internship I was there to learn as much as possible, while simultaneously helping as much as possible. My daily responsibilities were leading patients in exercises when asked, setting up equipment, doing laundry, cleaning treatment tables, and refilling supplies. When I was doing one of those things, I was sitting in on treatments with different therapists learning as much as I could about the field of physical therapy.

Accomplishments

Leading patients in exercises and making sure that they had the correct form was the most enjoyable part of my experience. It was great to development communication skills and gain confidence in my professional interaction.

What advice would you give?

Find out what your gifts are and use them everyday for the benefit of others. Find a career in doing something that highlights your natural strengths because it won't be hard for you and others reap the benefits
