Responsibilities

I worked as a visual and management intern. I primarily worked with the visual managers to help set up displays and strike point tables throughout the store. I also helped the visual team to redo the merchandising flow in the men's department to help brands flow together better and increase sales.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my internship experience was seeing the different areas perform better after moving them and creating new displays. Being able to see the numbers improve for things that I had worked on was rewarding because it meant my hard work paid off.

What advice would you give?

My advice to future students looking for internships is to start applying early and to apply to as many as you can! There are so many other students applying for the same internships as you so it's important to apply early and have something that stands out to recruiters. Advice that I have to any future students wanting to be an intern at Dillard's is to reach out to your internship coordinator or a previous intern to get the contact information because it wasn't posted online. Once you're working in the role I recommend working hard and being patient.
