Responsibilities

As a family services intern I was able to interact with families and have a professional relationship with co-workers. My responsibilities included taking referrals, performing background checks, maintaining house duties, and other delegated tasks. I was given free range to self-start projects and perform tasks that my supervisor need help with.

Accomplishments

The greatest accomplishment from my time at the Ronald McDonald House was building relationships with the families. Helping them by easing their transition was the most beneficial to me and my experience.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students would be to research internship opportunities early on and make sure you're passionate about the places you are applying to. This will make your experience that much more enjoyable and well worth your time.
