At Lifetime you are responsible for your own client acquisition, client programming, and client retention. You are responsible for tracking your clients progress and keeping detailed files for each client along with a detailed program. Hours that you don't have training sessions are spent talking to members, doing booths, and many other forms of lead generation.
My goal at the beginning of my internship was to gain a minimum of 5 clients by the end of my 10 week internship. I passed my goal of 5 and now have 10 clients that I am working with. I am excited to be working with my clients and I am excited to help them reach their goals.
What advice would you give?
After graduating going out and starting your internship for a professional organization in your field of study can be scary, and exciting, and make you feel a lot of different emotions. My biggest piece of advise is believe in your skill set and step outside of your comfort zone. By believing in yourself and trying new and uncomfortable things you will grow so much more and get the most out of your internship experience.
