Responsibilities

- Memorizing table numbers on 3 separate decks. - Expediting food within 5 minutes of it being delivered to me. - Organizing flowers at the beginning and ending of night. - Restocking all of the supplies servers need. - Speaking with customers about their experience.

Accomplishments

I think the greatest accomplishment throughout all of this is my progression/dedication. I started out really nervous, and wanted to quit. I could not let myself give up though. Now as my internship is ending I could not be more pleased with my improvement. I have become speedy with all of my expediting, and my managers have even noticed it. I am proud of myself for all of the improvements.

Learning experience

I have learned so much from this internship. The good, and the bad. I would say that one of my greatest lessons I have learned is how to work with people you could never imagine talking to in the real world. Working 30-40 hour work weeks was rough, and we spent a lot of time together so I have had to deal with everyone I cannot get along with. I have learned that its okay to not get along with everyone, but it is not okay to let it affect the way you work. I found myself going into work with a horrible attitude, and I let it get in the way of my whole work ethic.

What advice would you give?

Be excited for your internship, but it may not be exactly what you think. I loved the company I worked for, but I felt like the work I was doing was for any ordinary old job. Be excited that you were chosen for the internship!
