Accomplishments

I was able to create a group fitness incentive for the month of July. Members were challenged with attending a minimum of 4 different categories of group fitness classes (Strength, Yoga, Cardio...) to be entered into a raffle for a small prize. The challenge went really well and we had around 20-30 participants, I was also tasked with creating the marketing for the incentive program.

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I learned is that you don't know until you try. Originally, I didnt think I would be interested in doing any group fitness training, and I wouldn't like doing marketing or incentive programs for fitness. Turns out after doing it, I loved doing both! In group fitness classes, I was able to build amazing relationships with regular members, and marketing for programs was fun and something different to do. So, you never know if you might like something or you might be good at something until you try.

What advice would you give?

Use your Internship to the fullest. You will get out of the internship whatever you put in. If you work hard, the relationships you build can help you even more in the future, even if no position is open at that specific job.
