Responsibilities

My duties at Amanda the Panda included helping with participant programming and coming up with new ideas to make programming stronger. With this, I did a lot of things around the office which included entering participant registration, taking new registrations, meeting with community members, and creating resources for future participants and volunteers. I also was able to help with a new programming event, Day Camp, that occurred in June!

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my experience would be that I was able to give back to these individuals and families who lost a loved one in a variety of ways. It's amazing seeing all of these individuals who have been impacted by Amanda the Panda!

What advice would you give?

Make connections through community resources or personal references! Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and to ask questions -- there are no stupid questions and it shows that you are learning if you just ask! Don't be afraid to make mistakes, we are all human!
