Responsibilities

My responsibilities while student teaching include observing the physical education teacher, taking over the Physical Education teacher's classes, planning lessons and units, along with teaching, evaluating and reflecting on my teaching experiences.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from this experience is the confidence I have grown in my teaching, along with building connections with the students. I feel confident teaching any grade level now and I look forward to having my own classes in the future.

What advice would you give?

BE FLEXIBLE. Teaching, especially in PE, comes with a lot of scheduling that can be changed at the last minute. Know that your lesson can be successful in any area that is provided and be flexible. The main priority is student learning, so modify the lesson but still focus on the main points.
