Responsibilities

- Support daily and game-day merchandise operations. - Organize, restock, and maintain inventory on game days. - Tag, barcode, and launch new merchandise. - Track inventory accurately and refresh merchandise displays. - Assist with retail campaigns, timelines, and deliverables. - Complete POS/register transactions accurately. - Fulfill e-commerce orders promptly. - Help with store set-up and tear-down for games. - Provide excellent customer service in-store, online, and during games. - Stay updated on promotions and sales. - Contribute to a positive, fun environment for staff and fans. - Support retail marketing and merchandising initiatives. - Handle multiple tasks and accept feedback.

Accomplishments

One of my greatest accomplishments during my internship was being part of the merchandising team that set two Iowa Wild records: the highest revenue generated in a single game for the season, and the highest revenue generated in a single homestand in team history.

Learning experience

One of the greatest lessons I learned is that if you keep working hard, it will eventually pay off. There are times when the days feel especially long, and you might want to slow down or give up, but there is nothing more rewarding than seeing everything you've done come together in the end.

What advice would you give?

Any kind of hands-on experience is valuable. You can learn a lot in class, but it takes on new meaning when you can apply it in real life, observe different processes, and receive feedback from those around you.
