Responsibilities

Merchandising Intern I worked closely with the Junior's accessories, swim and coats buyer. I would do daily tasks such as purchase orders, reorders, cancellations, contacting vendors, vendor meetings, vendor agendas, and business, market and trend analysis. We went to the New York City August Market on the last week of the internship.

Accomplishments

I felt that I learned so much from the 10 weeks that I was there. My greatest accomplishment was going to the August Market and meeting with vendors. My buyer took my knowledge and choices into consideration when she was making her buy. Many of my choices will be in Von Maur stores in the future.

What advice would you give?

Go in with a positive attitude and give everything you work on 110%. This was a great experience, if you are given the chance to work with this company, make the most of it!
