- Assist students and families with Financial Aid and Scholarship questions. - Verify student information and log received checks into computer system. - Organize identification and tax documents before scanning into system, verifying document type and information.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment during my internship experience was the connections and empathy I was able to provide to students and families in their times of financial stress while being able to provide relief by offering solutions and avenues they could take to help lessen their financial burden.

Learning experience

The greatest lesson I learned from my experience was that although someone may seem angry, upset, or any other negative emotion and is seemingly wants to take it out on you, they most likely just need compassion and someone to listen and hear their problems out.

What advice would you give?

My advice to future students in my major is to look into expanding their knowledge on more than the technical business side of financial planning, a large part of this career path is learning how to interact with others and navigate stressful conversations.
