Responsibilities

I helped coordinate multiple programs in the Youth and Family Services Department at the YWCA. These programs included; PASS parenting class, English Class, and Wize Girlz middle school after school program.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from this experience is finally getting experience working in my field. Before this, I did not have much experience in this field, so this internship allowed me to work in the field, with a variety of clients.

Learning experience

I learned that every client that you work with has a different story or background. When working with multiple clients, you have to take into consideration that every person is different.

What advice would you give?

Get experience in the field as soon as you can. I wish I had more experience before my internship because it took me a lot of time to figure out where I wanted to internship as well as what I wanted to do.
