Responsibilities

- Assisting with case planning and implementation for the residents there, which looked like meeting with them one on one and working on goal setting and providing referrals. - Providing transportation - Assisting with office tasks - Attending appointments with residents when needed - Helping with odds and ends around the house (donations, volunteers etc.)

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishments were the connections I made with the residents and some organizational things I was able to implement in the house.

Learning experience

I learned how to balance empathy and assertiveness in difficult conversations. I also gained a lot of confidence professionally from this internship.

What advice would you give?

Be assertive and ask questions and share your ideas.
