Responsibilities

The PGA Championship is being held here in May. I was brought on board to help Bethpage State Park with the planning and execution of the event. I organized housing, uniforms, food etc. for all the volunteers and employees for tournament week. I also worked with sponsors and the different levels they could donate at and the tickets/VIP passes they would get.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment is the networking that I was able to do. I put myself out there and introduced myself to as many people as I could. I met people very high up within Bethpage State Park and within PGA of America. In the future, this is going to help me a lot.

What advice would you give?

Don't be a afraid to step out of your comfort zone. I moved across the country for 5 months knowing no one and it was the best decision that I have made. I am more prepared for the future and much more confident in myself and my work ability.
