Responsibilities

I assisted with coordinating appointments. As part of community outreach efforts, I attended injury prevention events to support public education and promote safety initiatives. I also created informative posters and written materials to enhance awareness on various health topics. I was responsible for unboxing, cleaning, and assembling car seats to prepare them for use in demonstrations and distribution. I maintained a productive and organized work environment.

Accomplishments

I worked with the Adaptive Car Seat Program and was able to assist in various ways. I worked to make retrieving data from this program easier. I also learned the process about cleaning, assembling, shipping, and more the car seats with this program. I helped improve the smoothness and quickness of this program and we were able to increase the amount of kiddos that we helped my 55% this quarter!

Learning experience

I learned the importance of teamwork. This organization puts a lot of emphasis on being a team player and helping one another. This created an excellent environment for me and proved how vital teamwork is!

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students is to embrace every opportunity that comes your way fully! These experiences build your skills and help guide you into the specifics of this major you are interested in. Don't be afraid to ask questions, no matter how small they seem; curiosity is a powerful tool for learning and growth. Most importantly, enjoy your time in the program. It goes by faster than you think, and the memories, connections, and lessons you gain along the way.
