Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: prepping and organizing activities for support group and Children and Family Urban Movement (CFUM), communicating well with grieving individuals of all ages, and facilitating support groups.

Accomplishments

I feel as my greatest accomplishment from my internship so far would be how much my knowledge has increased regarding communicating with grieving individuals. It feels great to be more comfortable talking with those individuals and feeling like I truly can and do help them with their grief.

What advice would you give?

Don't worry too much if you aren't 100% sure on all of your interests or future plans. Try new things even if you didn't picture yourself going down that route. I never pictured myself working with grieving individuals but I have learned so much valuable information and the opportunity has been so rewarding.
