Responsibilities
Developing new formulations - with SOP, NutriFacts, costing; evaluation of inventory materials, developing food safety procedures in accordance with USDA-FSIS guidelines.
Accomplishments
Successfully developing a proof of concept prototype for the company, and getting to familiarize myself with plant operations in meat processing.
Learning experience
Time management, good test design, how to work independently.
What advice would you give?
Ask lots of questions and don't be afraid to reach out to others in the organization for information!
