Responsibilities
Helped athletes go through workouts for 3 different groups of 4-5 athletes at a time. Critiqued form, setup and tear down weight room, build connections with athletes, make shakes prior to each lift for athletes, communicate with strength and conditioning coach and learn more into area of study.
Accomplishments
Building connections and growing relationships with athletes. Making great connections with everyone in basketball and building those relationships was a huge part of my time there.
Learning experience
One lesson I learned was to be organized and expect things to no go as planned. It can be hectic and people can come in not feeling great for a lift that day and it is good to have backup plans and be able to change things on the fly.
What advice would you give?
Focus a lot on building connections with everyone you meet and build those relationships up to make sure you are networking and developing great resources to learn from.
