I worked as Sales Lead /Assistant store Manager. My responsibilities included: Assisting with online sales, developing online website, managing employees, leading team meetings, leading store set-ups, scheduling, helping customers, assisting with mood boards for seasonal set-ups and working with store analytics.
My greatest accomplishment was building up my team members. I enjoyed being the leader but I really wanted to make sure everyone got the best possible experience. I have so far achieved this and built relationships with each of my team members were everyone feels they can talk to me and look to me to be a leader. This is a huge accomplishment for me.
I learned that I am fine with not taking on so many task and building up the many task that I already have. This also makes room for other people to grow and learn in new experiences.
What advice would you give?
My Advice to future students is to make sure that you are open to learning many things during your internship. Be as flexible as possible and ready for each experience. This will create new opportunities and is a good way to network/ make new connections.
