Responsibilities

During my internship I was responsible for getting together analysis of products from past seasons to determine what products should be used again for the next season, how products did that season, and the overall productivity of the season. I also was given the responsibility to take cutouts for the merchandising team to put spreads together for the catalog.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my internship was putting together spreads for the summer 22 catalog for my specific brand. For that I used the cutouts for that prefix and developed visual merchandising for the four different apparel themes. I put together full outfits with accessories to develop a cohesive spread/book overall.

Learning experience

Some of the greatest lessons I learned from my internship was to ask as many questions as possible because that looks better than not asking any questions at all. Asking questions shows that you are wanting to learn. Another lesson I learned is that communication is key to everything, especially when working remote, and without good communication projects can get behind or done by mistake.

What advice would you give?

The advice I would give is to apply and put yourself out there for as many opportunities as possible. By doing that you have your eggs in many baskets and can figure out exactly what you want to do with your career before needing to make that decision when graduating.
