Responsibilities

- Review data to determine what's selling and what's not - Learn about allocation and localization - Monthly Climate and Location Selling Recaps & Monthly Size Selling Recaps - Analyze Store Inventory Reports to make allocation strategy recommendations and ensure a healthy and profitable inventory stock position - Analyze Omni Channel Reports to assure optimal inventory ownership across fulfillment networks and minimize the cost of shipping - Observe the Inventory Analysts and help make strategic inventory deployment strategies

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplish was being a finalist in the intern Case Competition representing the home Office. My team and I had to work together to create a new product assortment and figure out how Kohl's can attract new customers while also appealing to their loyal customers. The Case Competition was live-streamed company-wide and judged by senior leaders, including Nick Jones, Chief Merchandising Officer.

Learning experience

I learned how to think analytically and understand why numbers are the way they are. I got to look at inventory and sales reports and make changes where it was beneficial. I also learned what it was like to work in a corporate office.

What advice would you give?

My advice to all students is to get out of your comfort zone and explore all your options. Working for a large company like Kohl's, you are able to see how all the different roles interact and contribute to the final products.
