Responsibilities

At Nemacolin, I do anything from serving as a sales associate in our luxury retail stores to help with the execution of pop-up shops and brand trunk shows. I am also in charge of assisting our buyers with purchase orders, and preparing and distributing new inventory across our five stores.

Accomplishments

For Father's Day weekend, we hosted a trunk show with Faherty, which is a popular brand within our main clientele. The trunk show went amazing and it was such a great experience to network with brand reps from Faherty and to see the excitement surrounding Father's Day.

Learning experience

I have learned a lot about hospitality that I would have never expected to learn when first coming here. I have also learned the true value of knowing your clientele: what brands they like, how they like to be treated while shopping, and more. Positive and personal exchanges with guests are what truly keep our resort running so successfully.

What advice would you give?

Do your research prior to interviews, always show up to work with a smile and ready to learn and assist in anyway you can, and introduce yourself to everyone!! You never know who you may meet and the memories you'll make. Also, professionalism, timeliness, curiosity, and respect will take you a long way!
