I kept in contact with numerous of buyers to set up appointments and to send them requested linesheets. I participated in both LA Market by assisting the sales rep during buying meetings by taking notes and filling out PO's. I used different computer softwares like Seladex, Joor and Microsoft Excel to update our customer's personal profiles, to place PO's and to create custom line sheets. I also was in charge of organizing and maintaining the showroom, making sure all garments are on wooden hangers and organized by the correct delivery date, steaming the garments and boxed up and return samples.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment from my experience interning for Marked Showroom was being able to assist and be involved in meetings with designers and buyers. Being able to be present during the meetings was a huge learning opportunity for me and helped me gain even more experience that will help my future career in the long run.

What advice would you give?

The fashion industry is very competitive so you need to find something that will set you apart from others. While I was doing my internship, I also participated in other fashion PR events and shoots to gain even more knowledge, experience and most importantly, I've gained connections that will be a good start to my career. Just work hard and give it all you have.
