Luke Starcevich

Responsibilities

During this experience I observed for a short time, then taught kids grades K-8th physical education classes. I taught ultimate frisbee, floor hockey, and a basketball unit. I planned lessons then taught them which were based off of lesson objectives which were either psychomotor, cognitive, or affective learning goals.

Accomplishments

The greatest accomplishments that I received throughout this experience was hand written notes from students at the end of my first secondary placement that was at a middle school. Receiving these notes made me realize the true impact I was making on some of these students in such a short period of time which was very rewarding to see.

What advice would you give?

Be open minded, ask questions, connect with your cooperating teacher and students and most importantly HAVE FUN!
