Responsibilities

Being a lead teacher in a preschool room. My responsibilities included:lesson planning (large and small group activities, toys, and other things the children will do within a week. Creating a newsletter for parents. I observed children and their development and assessed them off of what I observed. I also observed planning for field trips. I interacted with 16 preschoolers. I also learned about the daycare center's accreditation, data collection techniques, teaching styles and classroom/daycare's expectations.

Accomplishments

I assessed the children's alphabet knowledge and then throughout the week did activities pertaining to the alphabet. I later assessed them on their alphabet knowledge and saw improvement from most, if not all, of the children.

What advice would you give?

Find what you love to do. Than your work will not seem like work at all.
