Responsibilities

I was responsible for supervising the staff in the Triple Crown Buffet and Champions Clubhouse (during live race dates). Taking reservations for both TCB and Champions. Making sure that the buffet stayed clean, stocked, and labeled correctly. Handling any concerns that guests had at TCB or Champions. Making sure to communicate with other supervisors and upper management about any problems or compliments that were brought to my attention.

Accomplishments

I think that taking on more responsibilities and being able to run shifts by myself were by greatest accomplishments during my internship. At the start of the summer I was really nervous about these things, but once I started running more shifts I became more confident in my abilities. I think that this confidence will be beneficial to my current position and future positions

What advice would you give?

Have fun and do not be afraid to ask questions. Your internship can be a great learning opportunity and you should take advantage of the time and resources that you have while you are there.
