Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was being able to develop and then have a sample made of my own design of the BAT (Breast, Axilla, and Thyroid Protection). I was able to show how I understood the research I did and how I applied it to improving the product.

Learning experience

A lesson I learned was when I’m developing something new, think about how it will go through production and how I can make the production process as efficient as possible while still maintaining the quality and function of the product.

What advice would you give?

Use your connections, I met this mentor when she did a Zoom presentation for my class and I was so interested in her line of worked that I connected with her to learn more. I told her about looking for internships and she offered me one when I couldn’t make anything else work.
