Responsibilities

My responsibilities at threadit included alterations, tailoring, customer service, and styling. Here I learned much more depth into sewing along with color consulting and closet editing to suit the customers personal style and lifestyle needs.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment during this internship was learning to trust and accept my own self and knowledge in order to be able to use it to help others. I was able to bring my expertise to the table to give more insight as well as expand my own knowledge and business practices.

Learning experience

The greatest lessons I've learned from this internship are to not hinder myself from confidence that is already established through personal experience but to show it in ways that are beneficial to both myself and the consumer.

What advice would you give?

My advice for future students in this major is that there is so much to learn from business owners all around that will have a direct interest for your desires while also giving good advice that can't be taught in a classroom. Getting all the experience that one can will always give you the benefit and help in many areas no matter how different the experience may be. When deciding on an internship, please look to what you enjoy doing along with what you know you need to learn in order to truly grow and gain the best out of your experience.
