Assist ISU Dining chefs in writing menus and recipes for the many ISU Dining locations. Help develop and test new recipes. Assist with cooking duties at various locations.
Helped to develop a new Korean BBQ food truck concept that should be debuting on campus this spring. We wrote, developed, and tested each recipe. We also wrote and planned the menu.
What advice would you give?
It helps to be flexible, from day to day you never know exactly what you will be doing. From recipe testing, menu writing, assisting locations in food production, or fixing existing recipes you are often changing gears. But if you are flexible and working with food this is a great opportunity.
