Responsibilities

As a merchandise analyst intern, you work in a buying office and create sales reports; review data to determine what is selling and what is not, use competitive shopping to analyze trends, pricing and marketing. I also presented selling recaps to managers and created new strategies.

Accomplishments

My greatest accomplishment was proving to myself that I am capable of working in a corporate office setting and am able to complete tasks and projects without the clear guidance of instructors and professors. In the working world, no one is there to hold your hand. You must take the initiative to correctly manage and execute your tasks.

What advice would you give?

Finding an internship can be an overwhelming and challenging process. My best piece of advice is to keep your options open, apply to a wide range of internships and always keep your resume updated!
