Accomplishments
Creating a new size chart for the Lands' End website. We started with the Kid's area because we had an idea of what we needed and wanted the chart to look like based on a shoe we already had measurements for. I did some competitor research to see what types of charts and sizing tools other companies had. I created an Excel file to account for all the sizes the companies were reporting. I then worked with our Product Development and Sourcing team to get measurements of our shoes based on the vendors we used. I was able to find specific sizing for Lands' End by doing this. Lastly, I met with the Digital Marketing team to work on what the size chart would look like online. It was really exciting to see that by the time I left, there was a new, more user-friendly size chart online for the Lands' End customer!
What advice would you give?
Be patient and trust the process! It can be scary and quite daunting when beginning your internship search. Company culture is a huge determining factor for many people. Having an idea of where you want to be and the type of company you want to work for is super helpful. This can narrow your options if you are a little unsure of where to start. Finding a company that is a right fit for YOU makes the experience so much more worth it!
