Responsibilities

Creating a personalized shopping experience for our customers and visual merchandise the store and display tables for sales and day-to-day. I was also responsible for photographing and editing new merchandise for social media and the Bliss website. Another responsibility of mine was to attend and assist in vendor meetings and then create purchase orders and check in new merchandise when it arrived at the store.

Accomplishments

Building relationships with our regular customers and the owner of Bliss Boutique. Talking with the owner and learning the ins and outs of running a small business is information I will definitely use in the future.

What advice would you give?

Start looking for your internship early. If you are unsure what you like most, work with a small business. With a small business, you are able to find out what you like and then you can find jobs or internships that are related. Always stay in contact with companies, you never know when an opportunity might come your way.
