Responsibilities

Within my internship at Moorman Clothiers, my responsibilities include, merchandising the sales floor, social media management, learning their product lines, and assisting customers daily with their fashion needs.

Accomplishments

Thus far, my greatest accomplishment has been getting the liberty of working with Moorman Clothier's social media. I was able to put together different lookbook ideas for our customers and posted them to the instagram. I also was able to work on getting Moorman Clothiers overall social media presence up to gain more of a following.

Learning experience

During my internship, the greatest lesson I learned was how resilience is the key to success. Within the retail industry, you are going to come across many tough situations; whether that be a difficult customer or a display that is just not going your way. As long as you push through, you will flourish.

What advice would you give?

Some advice I have for future students in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design would be to pay attention to those key classes because they will come into play within the work field. Specifically AMD 204 (Textile science), I have found myself reviewing my previous notes from that course as I use that information almost on the daily.
