Responsibilities

I assisted the designer to organize clients' preferences as well as competitors' advantages. I was also responsible to gather inspirations and develop original concepts and sketches on my own. I helped the pattern-maker to cut and trim fabrics, sometimes I coordinated with colleagues at measuring and fitting as well. I was detail-oriented and passionate about new knowledge in the apparel industry.

Accomplishments

I made one of the ensembles I designed into the production, and I was responsible to source all the materials for that suit including fabrics and lining, button, and zipper, as well as to contact the fabric and trim vendors when ordering in larger amount after sampling.

What advice would you give?

One piece of advice is to keep an open mind and to listen to others' concepts and ideas to improve your work performance.
