Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment was being able to create a presentation on social wellness and physical activity for employees to be promoted through OU Fit and Rec's social media sites. I really enjoyed being able to interact with various types of people on campus from staff to faculty to students. It was really rewarding to be able to help individual's understand their health and things they can do to improve their overall wellness.
What advice would you give?
Take a step outside of your comfort zone and try somewhere you haven't been before for an internship position. You will grow more and gain so many great connections that may lead to potential opportunities in your career. Take advantage of the time you have at your internship site, because it goes very fast and before you know it you will be needing to move on to other professional job opportunities! Get into contact with as many people you can, and always be asking questions, because you never know what future opportunities might be presented to you. The worst someone can say to you is no!
